Robin Zielhorst

Robin Zielhorst is well known for his incredible bass playing in the following bands: Exivious, Cynic, ONEGODLESS and Our Oceans. His custom Roks Instruments Futura features a body of European walnut with a bookmatched flamed American walnut top. This choice of wood emphasizes the midrange frequencies and creates a very expressive and profound fretless sound.

Phaedra Kwant

Phaedra Kwant

Phaedra Kwant graduated in 2004 “Cum Laude” from the Amsterdam Conservatory and became the first female Master of Music on bass guitar in The Netherlands. She combines all her skills when she plays and sings her own music with her own band. Phaedra’s personal Futura was crafted to suit her melodic bass playing. Her bass is equipped with a high C-string to expand harmonic possibilities, making it a great tool for playing chords and composing. Like any customer commissioning a Roks bass, she was deeply involved in the creation of her new instrument.

Ralph Hermans

Ralph Hermans

Ralph Hermans graduated from the Conservatory of Amsterdam where he studied jazz. He has performed and recorded with various artists, including Tourist LEMC, Wally, Bart Peeters and Thecolorgrey. Ralph’s Roks Idris has an Ebony top, fretboard and matching headstock, creating a mysterious yet stylish look, especially combined with the 14-carat gold plated hardware and EVO-gold frets.

Bill Scott Mookhoek

Bill Scott Mookhoek

Bill studied jazz at Codarts, with great Dutch bass players like Jeroen Vierdag, Pieter Douma, Michel van Schie and Stefan Lievestro. In this period he picked up the double bass as well. The intensity of the instrument struck him like thunder.

Next to the fact that Axel Roks takes time to get to understand his costumers wishes, the basic quality of his instruments is ridiculously good. The balance is amazing, the weight is perfect and the sustain is super stable all over the fretboard.’

Mart Goossens

Mart Goossens

Mart Goossens is probably best known for his popular Youtube videos & playalongs. His custom bass has an Alder body, Maple neck and a Pau-Ferro fretboard, a classic wood-combination. The body and the matching headstock were painted ‘Biancospino White’, a very special vintage Alfa Romeo Colour.

Sanne Verbogt

Sanne Verbogt

Sanne Verbogt started to see structure in music at the beginning of her conservatory study, which eventually led to her own music theory method: SV Method. Microtonality was the next step on her path of musical growth, but she quickly hit a very practical obstacle: the regular bass guitar isn’t made for this. Sanne Verbogt’s Microtonal Futura is the result of a dream to push the boundaries, explore possibilities and to create the unknown.
